What does a therapy session cost?

$225/50 minute session

Do you take insurance?

As of June 2024 I will be considered an “Out of network” provider for all insurance companies and will offer courtesy claims/billing to your insurance carrier so that you may obtain direct reimbursement your plan may provide. Though many insurance companies will reimburse you up to 80%, I cannot guarantee what reimbursement you will receive, so I recommend you contact your provider to inquire about the reimbursement your plan offers.  Questions to ask your insurance company:

  • What is my out-of-network deductible for outpatient mental health?

  • How much of my deductible has been met this year?

  • What is my out-of-network coinsurance for outpatient mental health?

  • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

  • How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?

Do you offer sliding scale (reduced) rates?

Yes. A sliding scale rate is a fee structure some therapists use to help individuals who can’t manage the full therapy session rate. With sliding scale, a therapist will offer pricing based on a client’s gross income level. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots in my practice for clients making under $100k.  If this is something you believe you qualify for, please inquire.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please do so at least 24-hours in advance. No shows and cancellations that are not at least 24-hours in advance will be charged at the full session rate.

Do you see clients in person or virtually?

I see clients virtually over an online therapy platform that is HIPPA compliant. Virtual Mental Health therapy provides a private, convenient way to access mental health support without requiring you to leave home, school or work to visit a counseling center or therapist’s office in person. Research is showing that there is no significant difference in clinical outcomes between virtual therapy and traditional in-person services.
