my approach
Our therapeutic work together will begin with empathic listening as I gather information, learn about what brought you to therapy and earn your trust. When you feel ready, we will roll up our sleeves and step into the active work of CBT that will help you reach your therapeutic goals. Through our sessions, you'll gain insight, develop skills to identify and challenge problematic thinking/behavioral patterns and learn strategies to cope with symptoms and challenges.

The structured approach I offer utilizes the T.E.A.M. CBT framework, based on the clinical work of Dr David Burns at Stanford University. Within this framework I integrate aspects of Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and more.
